Our president (SFCHA) Brian Siess works on the flats almost every weekend. I’ve had quite a few requests for dates and times for work days. Well here ya guys go. Time to roll up the sleeves and cut some willows that are encroaching on the fields. Brian has been battling these things for years and keeps the place in good shape for the start of every season. If you got a chance to get out there and put some elbow grease down…do it.

We completed our 5^th day of willow cutting in the Prior Road refuge yesterday and have made a great deal of progress. We will be meeting at the Ott farm at 9:00am next Sunday (8/15/10) if anyone is interested in helping. I am traveling to Mexico for the rest of the week and will not be answering e-mails.

The Ott Farm is located on prior road just where the pavement ends.

my dad has been working with his pup he got last year after season was over. He’s a yellow lab about 8-9 months old. Here’s a small clip of him gettin air off an 8ft river bank behind the shop. He’s not scared, thats for sure.

He coasted in without a sound. Shot at 10yrds with Rem 870SPS, Federal #4 lead. (leftover from the 70′s duck hunts, lol).

Sneaky little guy almost got to the decoys, he never made a sound on way in.
